Kashmir – A Heaven on Earth

It has been few days since I have returned from Srinagar but still got a hang of it. The place I have always wanted to visit since my early days finally got a chance to experience the beauty of Kashmir with family. After a short flight we landed in Srinagar and met our prearranged taxi driver and checked in at Hotel Centre Point.

The excitement was so high that we didn’t even rest just took Kashmiri Kahwa and reached Tulip Garden. Here are few glimpses –

Shalimar Bagh which was built by Mughal Emperor Jahangir for his wife Noor Jahan. Famous for having Dal Lake in the background.

Kashmiri Phiran

Pari Mahal

White Tree

Next day we went to Pahalgam which is 45 km from Anantnag at an altitude of 7,000 feet. You’d get to see so many beautiful scenes while going to Pahalgam and we saw first sheet of snow in Kashmir here.

The memories of snow-splashed Gulmarg are just unforgettable, got to see fresh sheet of snow and it looked magical. The time spent in Gulmarg was absolutely fascinating.

Gondola Ride

Way to Phase1

Gulmarg Skiing is famous in whole over the world one just can’t miss doing it. I was astound to see the view surrounded by Pir Panjal Range in the middle of Himalayas.

I clicked this on the way from Srinagar to Sonmarg

Gangabal Lake

So many adventure sports in Sonmarg and it was my favourite one

Dal Lake is like cynosure of Srinagar, Indeed a Jewel in the crown of Kashmir, lined with Mughal era gardens, houseboats and hotels.  It’s also flanked by hills particularly along its east bank and Scenic view of the lake is scintillating . A Shikara ride by far the best way to see around the lake. At a reasonable price, there’s hardly any other lazier and more pleasurable way of getting into the swing of Srinagar

It is such a beautiful place that it needs to live and thrive. The serenity of place is magical with no political inclination or influence. I’m glad that i went there and would suggest everyone to go there once in their life. Seriously I can say that There is nothing like Kashmir.
